A Season For Change!

Wow, what a crazy month--out with the old, and in with the new!  As we ushered in the month of May, our family (within a span of 24 hours) completed the selling of our first home, closed on our brand new home, and found out that our family would be growing in number!  What a day, huh?!  Those are the three main events that happened in this past month, but there's plenty of life in the "small stuff" too :)  I'm sure some of this will be out of order, and I know I haven't taken nearly as many pictures as I should have (although, some of you may disagree!), but nonetheless, here is some of the craziness of the last month:

For starters, I'm not the only one having another baby--my good friend Eleanor is due with her baby girl at the end of this month.  I was happy to co-host a little sprinkling for her with Aunt Donna (aka baby girl's Godmother!).

It was a beautiful and yummy spread!

A little denim sundress from me to Baby Girl Moccari!

Hey Eleanor, can you hang on to all of these in case #3 is a girl?!

It was such a lovely sprinkling!

Shortly after the shower ended, it was time to pack everything up, and move out of our first family home.  Bittersweet??  Eh, not really to be honest.  It was our first house, and it served us very well.  That said, it was time for change, and we were ready for it.  So, over the next nearly 2 weeks, we all enjoyed our stay at the Hayes Bed & Breakfast!  We hadn't intended to stay quite that long, but after long days of packing, scrambling for paperwork, closings, moving, and unpacking it was really nice to come "home" to a completed package and a little R&R.  Thanks so much for hosting us Mom and Dad!  It was a team effort all around though.  Bill and Susie watched the boys a few of those nights where we pulled the longest shifts, and Granny and Papa watched the boys during the day the whole week of the move!  It is GOOD to have family nearby!  We appreciate everyone's willingness to help us out and make things run as smoothly as possible!

The final morning at 633 Prickly Pear--rise and shine boys!

Now for a little fun with the fam :)  The boys' new favorite song--"My Girl" by the Temptations.  They listen to it everytime they're in Grandma's car (which is at least every Wednesday afternoon!).  Thankfully, Goggi was able to record Ethan singing it for her at her house!

Ethan loves his music (and tea parties haha)...

and Tommy loves his trains :)

We were all so thankful to have a long weekend visit from Granny!!

As I said, we had a lovely time spending all of that time with family, but when the time finally came to stay in our new home, we were very excited.

the boys just about to enter their new house for the first time!

The boys were really excited about their new screened in porch!

Let the running around begin!!

Ahh, the "same room"--I can't believe how easily Ethan transitioned!

There will be more house pictures later, but for now, this is all you get!  I'd much rather you all come over to visit and see it in person!  The transition has been pretty seamless honestly.  Ethan, especially, has taken to his new big boy bed with absolutely no issues (well, unless you count the giant scratch on his cheek he somehow managed to get when he fell out of his bed one night!).

The boys have definitely enjoyed sharing a room with each other, and we've enjoyed hearing them giggling and playing over the monitor.  The only downside has been they have do tend to wake up about an hour earlier in the mornings than they did solo.  That said, they're still napping like champs--3 hours a day!

While we celebrated baby Moccari at the beginning of this post, the "original" turned 2 only a little over a week ago.  We all had a blast at his birthday party at Brooks Park :)

The Moccari Family :)

This month also marked the end of Tommy's first "year" at preschool (he didn't start until February).  Davey was so nice to go to his end of year class party because I was feeling sick that day.  Davey said they all had a good time and snapped a few pictures to prove it :)

Tommy loves to paint!

Tommy playing in the sand with Lorianna, who has a HUGE crush on him :)

Woah, take it back a notch there cheesy Tommy!

Haha, that's a bit better...Tommy and his classmates with their teachers, Mrs. Susan and Mrs. Terri

I have to say, my favorite part of all of this has been what we witnessed this past Monday when Davey and I went to his end of year program.  It was classic--one for the memory books for sure!  Tommy was purely Tommy, and if you know him, you'll know exactly what that means.  If you don't, here's a little video to try to help explain :)

That's our tooterbear!  He's a special kid, and we love him all the more for it!  Seriously though, could he be any more adorable?!  Here are a few pictures of him and his classmates after their performance!

My sweet boy was front and center!

Farewell Fellowship Preschool--"C-YA!!"

The best part of all though wasn't captured on camera, and I didn't even get to witness it.  As I was handing out azalea tree plants to Tommy's teachers and thanking them for their efforts this year, Tommy ran up to Davey and said in a sweet, excited, genuine voice (according to Davey), "Daddy, I love you sooooo much!"

The first couple of chapters of the Catchings Chronicles have already been written, and we've loved every minute of it.  We can't wait to see what the next few chapters have in store for us!!
